TL;DR
  • Mira AI is live: Wisemonk's India hiring workspace takes a role from posted to signed offer in one place, with the AI scoring every applicant as the application arrives.
  • Free through your first several hires: posting, applications and the full workspace cost nothing. Heavier AI screening, recording and scheduling run on usage credits, with no subscription and no per-seat fees.
  • The AI ranks, it never rejects: every score is measured against the scorecard you wrote, arrives with the reasoning behind it, and can be overruled on the spot.
  • Tech and non-tech, 40,000+ candidates: the talent community covers engineering, AI and data, finance, marketing, sales, design, HR and support.
  • Employment stays your decision: hire on your own Indian entity, or ask Wisemonk to be the legal employer from $99 per employee per month, settled at offer stage rather than when you post.

Mira AI is live, and it changes how you hire in India. Wisemonk's new hiring workspace carries a role from posted to signed offer in one place, and the AI scores every applicant against your own scorecard the moment the application lands.

You can open it now. Posting a role is free, and it commits you to nothing.

One role, every applicant, scored and ranked as they arrive.

What is Mira AI?

Mira AI is Wisemonk's hiring workspace for companies building a team in India. You post a role, the AI scores every applicant against your scorecard, and you interview, compare and decide in one place.

If you have no Indian entity, Wisemonk can become the legal employer once you are ready to offer.

It exists because hiring into India has always been three separate problems, solved with three separate vendors.

Until now, a company hiring its first engineer in Bengaluru had to find candidates somewhere, screen them somewhere else, and then work out who would legally employ the person. Mira AI puts all three in one workspace.

What you get on day one:

  • A role in front of a real audience: your post reaches a community of 40,000+ candidates who are already looking for a global employer, rather than whoever happens to be browsing that week.
  • A ranked shortlist, not an inbox: applications are scored as they arrive, so the list is ordered before you read it.
  • Interviews in the same place: scheduling, recordings, AI notes and team scorecards live with the role instead of across five tools.
  • A salary reality check up front: if Wisemonk payroll data says the band will not fill the role, you hear it before you post.
  • An employment route when you need one: Employer of Record coverage from $99 per employee per month, as of September 2026.

The workspace itself is at talent.wisemonk.io, and the product page sits at hire in India.

How does the AI score candidates?

You write a scorecard once, covering the skills, seniority and constraints that matter for the role. The AI reads every application against that scorecard as it arrives and returns a ranked list with a match percentage.

Scoring runs against what you wrote, not against a generic model of a good candidate.

The distinction matters more than it sounds. Keyword matching rewards a candidate who used the right nouns in their CV. Scorecard matching rewards a candidate who can do the job you described.

Every score arrives with the reasoning that produced it.

Four things the scoring does that a keyword filter does not:

  • Ranks against your scorecard: the criteria are yours, so the ordering reflects your role rather than an industry average.
  • Shows the reasoning on every score: including the low ones, so you can disagree with a specific sentence rather than with a number.
  • Reads your own applicants too: candidates from your careers page, a referral or another board are scored against the same scorecard.
  • Re-scores as new applications arrive: the ranking stays current instead of freezing at the moment you last looked.

Screening therefore happens as applications land, not in a block on Friday afternoon.

What can the AI decide, and what stays with you?

The AI scores. You decide. Nobody leaves your pipeline because of a score, and the only automated exit is auto-reject for candidates who stop responding, which you switch on yourself. Every score carries the sentences behind it, so you can overrule it on the spot.

This is a deliberate product choice, and it is worth being plain about where the line sits:

  • Hiring decisions stay with you: the AI orders the list. It does not shorten it.
  • Every score shows its working: a number you cannot interrogate is not a decision you can defend to a hiring manager.
  • A recruiter can review alongside the AI: move to recruiter-assisted and a person in India reviews the shortlist and speaks to everyone you interview.
  • Your ATS stays yours: screen here and export, or run the whole process in Mira AI. Neither option locks you in.

The useful question about hiring AI is not what it can do. It is what it is allowed to decide, and here the answer is ordering, not rejection.

What does the hiring flow look like from post to offer?

Four stages, all in one workspace: post the role, screen with the AI, run interviews, then decide as a team. Nothing hands off to a different tool between stages, and the notes, scores and recordings stay attached to the role rather than scattering across inboxes and calendars.

1. Post a role

Describe the role in a sentence and the AI turns it into a job description and a scorecard. A salary band is required up front, which is the step most job boards skip and the one that decides whether the role fills.

Step 1. Post a role, with the job description drafted for you.

2. Screen with AI

Applications are scored against your scorecard as they arrive and ranked with the reasoning attached. Your own applicants go through the same scoring as candidates from the Wisemonk community.

Step 2. Screen with AI, ranked with the reasoning shown.

3. Run interviews

Scheduling is self-serve, interviews can be recorded, and AI notes are shared with the hiring team. Candidate profiles carry notice period, which in India runs from immediate to 90 days and is a common cause of a start date slipping.

Step 3. Run interviews, with recording and AI notes in the workspace.

4. Decide together

Stages, notes and team scorecards sit in one thread, so the pipeline has a single view rather than a version per interviewer.

At the end of that flow you make an offer, and only then does the employment question need an answer.

Which roles can you hire with Mira AI?

Both technical and non-technical. Engineering is where most companies start, but the same posting, screening and interview flow works for finance, marketing, sales, design, HR, support and operations. India's talent pool runs deep well outside software.

The community covers ten role families:

  • Software development: React, Python, Java, Flutter, full stack, mobile, QA and enterprise applications. See our guide to hiring software developers in India.
  • AI and data: AI engineers, machine learning, data engineering, analytics and BI, annotation.
  • Cloud, DevOps and security: DevOps and SRE, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity.
  • Product and project: product managers and business analysts.
  • Design and creative: UI/UX, graphic and brand, video and animation.
  • Finance and accounting: bookkeeping, accounts payable and receivable, reporting, payroll, tax preparation and financial analysis.
  • Marketing: SEO, paid media, content, social and email automation.
  • Sales: SDRs and lead generation.
  • HR and recruitment: recruitment process outsourcing, recruiters and HR operations.
  • Admin and support: virtual assistants, customer support, technical support and back office.

How is Mira AI different from a job board?

A job board puts your role in front of candidates and stops there. Mira AI stays with the role through screening, interviews and the offer, and can become the legal employer at the end of it. The difference shows up most clearly in what happens after the click.

EmploymentYour problem to solveWisemonk can be the legal employer, no Indian entity required

Volume is the trap. A role in India draws hundreds of applications, nobody reads past page one, and the person you needed was on page four.

What does Mira AI cost?

Nothing through your first several hires. Posting roles, receiving applications and running the full workspace stay free. Heavier AI screening, video recording and scheduling run on usage credits after that, with no subscription and no per-seat fees.

Pricing, as of September 2026:

  • Free: $0 for several hires. Post roles, receive applications, run the full workspace and screen your first hires with AI.
  • Recruiter-assisted: contingent, paid on joining. Wisemonk recruiters source and submit vetted profiles for roles that are not filling on their own.

Employment is priced separately from hiring. Full pricing sits on the pricing page.

What happens when you are ready to make an offer?

Employment is decided at offer stage, not when you post. If you already hold an Indian entity, you employ the person yourself and Mira AI has simply found and screened them. If you do not, Wisemonk can be the legal employer, which is what an Employer of Record does.

As the legal employer, Wisemonk holds the employment contract, runs payroll, and handles provident fund, gratuity, ESI and income tax withholding. You direct the work day to day. Hiring, compensation, performance and exit decisions stay with you.

The routes available once you have chosen someone:

  • Employer of Record: from $99 per employee per month, as of September 2026, with no Indian entity required. See EOR services in India.
  • Your own entity, our HR: if you hold an Indian company already, PEO services run payroll and filings under your own registrations.
  • Contractors instead of employees: Contractor of Record covers compliant agreements, IP assignment and payouts.
  • Your own India company: entity setup and, at scale, a capability centre.

If you are still weighing those options, our guide to the best way to hire employees in India compares them on cost, time and risk, and there is a separate walkthrough of hiring without an entity.

Frequently asked questions

Is Mira AI really free?

Yes, through your first several hires. Posting roles, receiving applications and running the full workspace stay free. Heavier AI screening, video recording and scheduling run on usage credits after that, with no subscription and no per-seat fees.

Do I need a registered company in India to hire someone there?

No. Wisemonk acts as the legal employer. We hold the employment contract, run payroll, and handle provident fund, gratuity, ESI and income tax withholding, while you direct the work day to day.

You can also employ the person on your own Indian entity if you have one. That is decided at offer stage rather than when you post.

Can the AI reject a candidate automatically?

No. Nobody leaves your pipeline because of a score. The single exception is auto-reject for candidates who stop responding, and you switch that on yourself.

Can I see why a candidate scored low?

Yes. Every score carries the reasoning that produced it, including the low ones, so you can overrule it on the spot. A number you cannot interrogate is not a decision you can defend to a hiring manager.

How quickly can I see a shortlist?

Applicants start arriving as soon as the post is live, and the AI scores them as they come in rather than in a batch later. Roles that reach the Wisemonk talent community directly usually see applications the same day.

Can I use Mira AI with my existing ATS?

Yes. Screen candidates here and export them into your own system, or run the whole process in Mira AI. Both are supported, and neither locks you in. Candidates from your careers page, a referral or another job board get scored against the same scorecard as ours.

Can I hire non-technical roles, or only engineers?

Both. Engineering is where most companies start, but the same posting, screening and interview flow works for finance, marketing, sales, design, HR, support and operations. For a wider view of the options, see our guide to building a team in India.
