Job Overview
About the role
Founding Engineer — India LookAcross is building an AI-native platform that helps technology companies identify opportunities and turn them into pipeline through their partner ecosystem. We’re already profitable and working with major technology companies, with a small team. We’re looking for a Founding Engineer in India who can build extremely fast using modern AI tools and wants significant ownership over the product, architecture, and technology. Who We’re Looking For You’re an experienced zero-to-one builder. Give you a customer problem or rough idea, and your instinct is to start building, get something working, put it in front of users, and iterate. What We Need - 4+ years of hands-on software engineering experience, ideally in startups or fast-moving product teams - Strong in Python, PostgreSQL, APIs, and backend/data systems - Experience building real products with LLMs, agents, and AI-native architectures - You actively use Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or similar AI tools to dramatically increase how quickly you build and ship - Comfortable with APIs, MCP, AI models, data pipelines, and third-party integrations - Ability to prototype in days, not months - Ability to own problems from idea → working product → production - Comfortable working directly with founders and customers when requirements are incomplete or changing We value speed, judgment, and ownership over perfect architecture. You know when something needs to be engineered for scale—and when it’s better to ship, learn, and improve. Huge Plus You’ve built products in GTM, sales tech, martech, RevOps, CRM, or data intelligence and understand how sales and marketing systems actually work. Experience building on or integrating with platforms such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Apollo, ZoomInfo, 6sense, or similar GTM systems is particularly valuable. You may have been a founder, founding engineer, or early engineer at a startup. We care less about titles and big-company logos and much more about what you’ve personally built, how quickly you built it, and whether customers actually used it. This is not an entry-level role. We’re looking for someone who can operate independently from day one and eventually help shape the engineering team around them. If your natural operating model is understand → build → ship → learn → improve, we’d love to talk.
