About the role

FopsAI, a London-based FinTech startup, is building agentic intelligence to transform financial services operations. We're automating the entire data operations lifecycle—from ingestion and transformation to intelligent matching, break detection, and resolution—replacing manual spreadsheet workflows that cost the industry billions annually. We're looking for a Cloud & AI Infrastructure Engineer to own and evolve our AWS infrastructure as we scale.

What you'll do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable AWS infrastructure supporting AI/ML workloads and data pipelines
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
• Optimize cloud costs, performance, and security across our platform
• Set up monitoring, logging, and alerting systems for production reliability
• Collaborate with backend and ML engineers to ensure infrastructure meets application needs
• Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and drive continuous improvement

What we're looking for

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, SageMaker, or similar)
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code and configuration management
• Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and orchestration
• Solid understanding of networking, security, and database architecture
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices
• Comfortable with Python or similar scripting languages
• Experience supporting ML/AI workloads or data-heavy applications is a plus
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment
