Business Analysis

# Hire business analysts in India, powered by Mira AI.

Turn a vague request into requirements your engineers can actually build from. Mira AI reads every applicant for the analysis your project is missing.

Mira AI turns a sentence into a job description and a scorecard, then scores every applicant against it.

## Trusted by 300+ Global Companies

American iron and metal, Cobu, Edward Elgar Publishing, Finmed, Folens, Fuse Universal, Infinited Fiber, Intercon Security, Nice RX, OLX, Onereach, Onform, Picture Shop, Poppins Lab, Repurpose.io, Simpro, The Zebra, Thredup, Youtrip, amrop

The problems, and the fixes

## Finding people was never the hard part.

Getting to a shortlist is the quick part. Getting from that shortlist to someone who actually starts is where a quarter goes, and that is what we built for.

Hiring stages: Applied, Shortlisted, Interviewed, Offered, Joined.

- ### Applications arrive unsorted

Nobody reads past page one, and the person you needed was on page four.

Every application scored against your scorecard as it lands, reasoning attached.

- ### They go quiet

No reply, no reason, and you find out when nobody joins the call.

One thread per role and automatic nudges, so silence shows up the same day.

- ### Someone else sits the interview

You assess one person over video and a different one turns up on day one.

The screening call and every interview are recorded, so the person you assessed is on file when someone turns up on day one.

- ### They accept, then never start

Thirty to ninety days of notice is a long time for a counter-offer to land.

Mira AI asks about notice and competing offers on the call, so a shaky start date shows up in week one, not week eleven.

What you can hire

## The analysis work companies hire for most.

Open whichever matches the gap between what your business wants and what your team is building. Specialisms beyond this list are judged the same way.

### Business Analysis

Requirements, user stories, workshops, acceptance

### Business Process Analysis

Process mapping, BPMN, automation, improvement

### Systems & Technical Analysis

Integrations, data mapping, interface specifications

### ERP Functional Consulting

SAP, Oracle, NetSuite and Dynamics rollouts

### CRM & Salesforce Analysis

CRM requirements, flows, reporting, adoption

### Documentation & Technical Writing

Runbooks, API references, release notes, training

### Any other analysis role

Regulatory, insurance, supply chain, healthcare and more. Describe the domain and Mira AI scores for it.

- 01 Post

  ### Post a role

  - Which decision the analysis feeds, which systems are involved, and who has to agree
  - Mira AI turns that into a scorecard about the domain rather than a list of methodologies
  - Analyst salary band checked against live payroll data before the role opens
  - Every role gets a shareable link and goes live on the Wisemonk job board
- 02 Screen

  ### Screen with AI

  - Weighted toward specifications a team built from without a dozen clarification calls
  - Every position in the order comes with the reasoning written out
  - Referrals and agency submissions land in the same ranked list
  - Mira AI calls each candidate and asks your screening questions, recorded with a transcript you can read
- 03 Interview

  ### Run interviews

  - Process maps, specifications and writing samples attached to the profile
  - Book a requirements workshop or a documentation exercise in a click
  - Panel notes, recordings and scores stay attached to the role
  - Mira drafts each scorecard, so your panel edits instead of starting from blank
- 04 Decide

  ### Decide together

  - Every stage, note and team score in one thread
  - Mira keeps the panel current in Slack, so nobody chases an update
  - Export to your own ATS, or run the whole process here
  - No Indian entity? Wisemonk can employ whoever you choose, decided at offer stage

Meet Mira AI

## It reads the work, not the CV.

Mira AI reads every Business Analysis application through the work that actually shipped: what the person owned, the constraints they worked inside, and the evidence they can show for both. Every applicant is measured against the same scorecard, in the same way, on the day they apply.

Reading applications as they land

### Proof beats a polished CV.

You describe the Business Analysis role and what success looks like in it, and Mira AI ranks each applicant with the reasoning written out in sentences you can read and disagree with. The people who rise are the ones whose work backs up the claim. A first read, never the final word.

- Weighs work someone actually shipped above the tools listed on a CV
- Every ranking carries the why, including the near-misses
- Reads for judgement and communication alongside technical depth
- Reorders the shortlist as new Business Analysis applicants arrive

### Requirements arrive as a hallway conversation

Engineers are guessing at intent and rebuilding things twice. This is classic business analysis: run the workshop, write it down, get it agreed, and keep it traceable when somebody changes their mind in week six.

- Business Analysts
- Requirements Analysts
- Technical Business Analysts
- Functional Analysts

### The process is the problem, not the software

No feature fixes a workflow that has eleven approvals in it. A process analyst maps what actually happens, measures where the time goes, and redesigns the path before anybody writes code.

- Business Process Analysts
- Process Improvement Analysts
- Operations Analysts
- Workflow Analysts

### An ERP or CRM rollout is drifting

Functional consultants bridge the package and the business. They know what the software can do out of the box, which is usually more than your team assumes, and where a customisation will cost you at the next upgrade.

- SAP Consultants
- ERP Functional Consultants
- Salesforce Business Analysts
- CRM Analysts

### Two systems have to agree on the same data

Systems analysis: field-level mapping, interface contracts, migration rules and the edge cases nobody thought about. Detailed, unglamorous work that saves a project from a long and expensive clean-up.

- Systems Analysts
- Integration Analysts
- Data Migration Analysts
- Technical Writers

Seniority

## Asking the right question is the whole job.

Naming the domain and the decision filters far harder than naming a methodology in the advert.

### Junior Analyst

0 to 2 years

Takes notes in workshops, keeps the requirements log tidy and writes up what was decided. Someone else still runs the room and settles the arguments.

### Business Analyst

3 to 5 years

Runs elicitation independently, writes specifications engineers build from, and chases the open questions down. The broadest band in India and the easiest to fill.

### Senior Analyst

6 to 9 years

Owns a domain, spots the requirement nobody asked for, and can tell a stakeholder their request will not work without losing them. Notice runs 60 to 90 days.

### Lead / Practice Lead

10 years and up

Shapes how analysis is done across programmes, mentors the analysts and sits in the room where scope and budget are decided. A smaller pool, priced accordingly.

Which analyst you need

## Business analyst, process analyst or functional consultant.

Every one of these is called an analyst somewhere. What separates them is the artefact they leave behind, which is the most reliable way to work out which one your project is short of.

| Role | What they produce | Where they work | Hire when |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Business Analyst | Requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria | Confluence, Jira, diagrams, spreadsheets | Engineers keep asking what was actually meant |
| Business Process Analyst | Current-state and future-state process maps | BPMN tools, process mining, time studies | The workflow is slow before any software touches it |
| Systems Analyst | Field mappings, interface specifications, migration rules | Schemas, API contracts, test data | Two or more systems have to exchange data cleanly |
| ERP Functional Consultant | Configuration, fit-gap analysis, module design | SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Dynamics | A package rollout needs somebody who knows the package |
| Data Analyst | Dashboards and answers to questions about numbers | SQL, Power BI, Tableau | You need reporting, not requirements |
| Product Owner | A prioritised backlog and sprint-ready work | Jira, roadmaps, refinement sessions | Direction exists and somebody must feed the team |

What to screen for

## What a business analysis brief has to name.

Choose the ones that matter for your project and every applicant is measured against them the moment they apply.

### Which decision this feeds

Analysis with no decision attached becomes a document nobody opens. Write down what will be built, bought or changed once the work lands.

### The domain, stated plainly

Insurance, logistics, payments, healthcare. Domain fluency is what separates a fast analyst from one who spends a quarter learning your vocabulary.

### Writing that survives handover

Ask for a real specification they wrote and read it as an engineer would. If you have questions after two pages, so will your team.

### Handling disagreement

Stakeholders want contradictory things. The skill is getting them into one room and out of it with a decision, not recording both positions politely.

### Artefacts you expect

Process maps, user stories, data dictionaries, test cases. Naming the outputs makes the interview concrete and the first month measurable.

### Where they sit in delivery

Attached to one squad, floating across a programme, or embedded with the business. This shapes seniority more than the job title does.

FAQs

## Frequently asked questions

What delivery leads and operations teams ask before opening an analyst role in India.

**How do I hire business analysts in India?**

Describe the gap rather than the title: which decision the analysis feeds, which systems are involved, and who has to agree before anything ships. Mira AI drafts the job description and a scorecard from that, the role reaches our candidate community, and every application is ranked as it arrives. You interview the shortlist and Wisemonk employs whoever you choose.

**What is the difference between a business analyst and a product manager?**

A business analyst works out what a system needs to do and writes it down precisely enough to build. A product manager decides what is worth building in the first place and answers for whether it worked. Enterprise teams often need both, and the mistake is expecting an analyst to set direction or a product manager to produce field-level specifications.

**How much does it cost to hire a business analyst in India?**

Analysis sits below software engineering at the same seniority, which is part of why the roles are hired offshore so often. Domain experience is what moves the number: insurance, payments and healthcare analysts price above general ones, and ERP functional consultants carry the largest premium because the pool is narrow and in demand. Open a role and we will sanity-check your band against live India payroll figures before anyone sees it.

**Can a business analyst in India work with US or UK stakeholders?**

Yes, and analysis is one of the roles that travels best. The work is largely workshops and documents, so a few hours of overlap covers the live parts and the writing happens either way. Two things make it work in practice: recorded workshops so nobody has to attend at two in the morning, and a written decision log that is treated as the source of truth rather than a summary of it.

**Should I hire a business analyst or a business process analyst?**

Look at where the pain starts. If your team builds the wrong thing because nobody wrote down the right thing, that is business analysis. If the work itself is slow, duplicated or stuck behind approvals that predate most of your staff, that is process analysis, and it should happen before you commission any software. Plenty of senior analysts do both, but the emphasis in the brief changes who applies.

**Do I need a technical business analyst?**

You need one when the requirements themselves are technical: integrations, data migrations, API behaviour, or anything where the answer depends on how the system is built. A technical analyst can read a schema, write an interface contract and hold their own with engineers. For process and stakeholder work, that depth is optional and insisting on it narrows your pool for no gain.

**Do certifications like CBAP and IIBA matter?**

They are reasonable evidence that somebody has studied the discipline formally, which is more than most analysts can show, and they help when you are sorting a large pile of applications. What they do not tell you is whether the person can get two departments who disagree into one decision. Read a specification they actually wrote and you will learn more in ten minutes than any certification conveys.

**Do I need an entity in India to employ a business analyst?**

No. Wisemonk acts as the legal employer, signs the contract, and runs payroll along with provident fund, gratuity, ESI and income tax withholding. The analyst works to your priorities and sits in your meetings. If you already have an Indian entity, the hire can sit on that instead.

**What does senior mean for a business analyst in India?**

Roughly six to nine years, and the marker is domain ownership rather than years of writing tickets. A senior analyst notices the requirement nobody asked for, knows which regulation applies before it becomes a problem, and can tell a stakeholder their request will not work while keeping them on side. Expect 60 to 90 day notice periods at this level.

**Can a business analyst in India run an ERP or Salesforce rollout?**

An ERP or CRM rollout usually needs a functional consultant rather than a general analyst, because the value is in knowing what the package already does before anybody pays to customise it. India has deep pools in SAP, Oracle and Salesforce specifically, and those consultants tend to arrive with implementation experience across several companies. For a large programme you will also want somebody owning delivery alongside them.

**Does Mira AI work in Slack?**

Yes. Mira posts candidate updates into Slack as they happen and answers questions there in plain language — who applied, where a role stands, what is waiting on whom. A weekly digest names the roles that have gone quiet. Hiring managers and interviewers can follow a search without ever opening the workspace.

**How do you know what the salary should be?**

From our own payroll. Wisemonk pays over 2,000 employees in India, so the benchmark behind your role is what people in that specialism and city are actually being paid this month, not a published survey. Mira checks your band against it before the role goes live and tells you if it will not fill.

**What does Mira AI do after the shortlist?**

Candidates book themselves into your panel's availability, and your meeting note-taker captures the interview. Mira AI keeps everything with the role and flags which scorecards are still outstanding, so a decision is never waiting on someone who forgot.

**Do I pay for candidates I found myself?**

No. A candidate already in your ATS, or who came from your careers page, a referral or another job board, stays yours. They are scored against the same scorecard as ours and carry no fee. A fee applies only to candidates our recruiters or our community bring you.

**Does Mira AI actually call candidates?**

Yes. Upload the job description and Mira AI suggests a set of screening questions, which you can use as they are or edit. It then phones candidates, tells each one at the start that they are speaking to an AI, and asks what you set. The call is recorded and you can read the transcript on the candidate's profile, alongside how their application scored.
